FIRE EVACUATION PLANS
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) requires almost every business and residential block of flats in the UK to have a Fire Emergency Evacuation Plan (FEEP)
A Fire Emergency Evacuation Plan (FEEP) is a diagram which that indicates what actions are to be taken by occupants in the event that the fire alarm in the premises sounds.
Concept 20 Can survey and produce a FEEP for your business or block of flats
Upon appointment to produce a Fire emergency evacuation plan for your building, Concept 20 will:
Perform a full building survey
This is to record the building layout, room sizes and escape distances etc..
Produce a FEEP
The plan must show information such as:
-
A clear & easy to read floor plan
-
Action upon discovering a fire
-
Actions taken upon hearing the fire alarm
-
Clear passageways to escape routes
-
Your current location in the building
-
Location of Fire break points
-
Assembly points
-
Location of Fire fighting equipment
-
Fire evacuation strategy
-
Fire escape signage
-
Calling the fire brigade
-
Fire wardens/marshals
-
Enough exits for people to escape
-
Location of emergency doors
-
Emergency lighting
Upon completion of the FEEP Your local fire and rescue authority should check the plan for compliance as well visit the premises to check the fire risk assessment and fire prevention measures are appropriate. & take action if they think your fire safety measures are not adequate.
